Perfect Setup Starter Set for Astro Turf Tracks
This Year (2017) the European Championship is in England on an Astro Turf Track. For us reason enough to work on an possible perfect setup for such a track and have a closer look on this.
On one site there are these setup parameters that don`t need and special updates like camper, caster, downstop, roll-center, shock position, ride-height, etc. - All these Information you can find in the Setup Sheets in the Folder PDF above.
But there are also some very important option parts that will affect the setup and performance of your MCD car a lot. We also had very special look on them and have tested them very well with our Team to find out the best combination for an Astro Turf track that will make your car nearly unbeatable. The Setup Sheets also include this items and information.

More Steering all-around, especially in the 1/3 of the corner
Adapted to a comfortable suspension even with less downstop and less rolling of the car
Solid Lock Bar Center:
Maximum forward traction and more stability during acceleration - but a bit less roll than with a LSD Diff in the corner
60° LSD Lock Ramp:
To be installed in the front LSD Diff. The Diff will lock later on power so that the rear can push a bit more. You will receive more steering into the corner on power. But as the 60° Ramp also will unlock faster and earlier you will receive more steering during off-Power.
LSD Lock Pad:
2 Packs (4 pcs.) are used for the rear LSD Diff to unlock it completely. The car will roll better through tiny corners buts also will accelerate way more stable. You also can change just one Lock Pad per side against the Lock Disc to have still a bit of locking. Like this the rear will push the car a bit more into the corner, means you will get a bit more steering on-Power.
1 Pack (2pcs.) can be used to change two Lock Discs in the front LSD (both sides one). The Diff will lock less and front axle pulls the car less through the corner and you will receive a better interplay with the rear axle. In combination with a lightly locked rear LSD Diff you will get a car with a bit of oversteering.
Overdrive (Pinion & Crown Gear):
The front tires will rotate more often / faster than the rear tires. The car will become way easier to drive and it will become more easy to get the car under control once the rear lost traction. Especially on-Power the car will bite into the corner because the front axle will always try to reach the center of the corner.
